Haohan Chromatography (Shandong) Applied Technology Development Co., Ltd. used static headspace gas chromatography to study the content of methanol in the air. This method avoids the pollution of the chromatographic column and detector, eliminates the tedious steps of distillation, and uses retention time. The methanol content is qualitatively and the peak area is quantified. The methanol content is 0~79.0mg/l, which has a good linear relationship with the chromatographic peak area. The detection limit of the method is 0.01mg/m3, and the relative standard deviation of the measurement results is 0.30%. Compared with the method recommended in the ``Air and Exhaust Gas Monitoring and Analysis Method'' (4th edition), the results show that the method is simple, applicable, reproducible, and sensitive.
