Crude benzene is one of the products in the crude gas produced by pyrolysis of coal. The benzene compound recovered from the coke oven gas after deamination has a benzene content, which is called crude benzene.
Crude benzene is a light yellow transparent liquid that is lighter than water and insoluble in water. When stored, due to unsaturated compounds, oxidation and polymerization to form a resin material dissolved in crude benzene, the color becomes dark.
Colorless to pale yellow, volatile, non-polar liquid. High refractive and strong aromatic.
